It's not overwhelmingly original, but I don't really think that matters in this case.
Actually, what really strikes me the most is the emotional impact this piece has. I think it portrays the innocence Kaede had deep inside--despite all she ended up doing throughout her life, she was, in the end, a fairly innocent character (especially during her childhood, and of course, as Nyu).
More importantly, your expression adequately portrays the serenity and peace she felt whenever she heard the "Lilium" melody played from Kohta's music box, which really translates to whenever she spent time with Kohta. He doubtlessly brought out the best in her, and I think your photograph has brilliantly captured his vision of what Kaede could be like at her best.
There is a morose beauty in this portrait which makes it stand apart from the typical cosplay picture. The genius is really in the pose: downcast eyes, a childlike pose, and a shy yet beautiful smile--almost like a whispered sweetness--well, you've captured Kaede's feelings for Kohta. I think, if she could pick one pose to represent her feelings, this would be it.
awww!!! Lucy! Hey, where can you get the Cosplay outfit and the music box that plays Lilum? I really want to Cosplay as Lucy for Holloween or something just so at one house i will go 'Nyu! Nyu!' and be all adorable, then at the next i will be silent and creepy.
for the cosplay: you've got to sew it yourself or just look in normal stores, maybe you can find similar clothes ^^ the music box: you've got to make it yourself, too. But the thing inside playing the music can be found on eBay.. I think she told me that

Overall, a pretty amazing piece.
